Export Promotion Mission (Niryat Protsahan and Niryat Disha)
The umbrella export-support mission announced in Budget 2025–26: cheaper export credit, collateral guarantees, testing and certification refunds, freight help and trade-fair support.
Approved by Cabinet on 12 Nov 2025 with ₹25,060 crore for FY 2025–26 to 2030–31. Market Access Support launched 31 Dec 2025; interest subvention and collateral support launched 2 Jan 2026; seven more interventions launched 20 Feb 2026 — 10 of 11 interventions operational as of Feb 2026. It replaces the Interest Equalisation Scheme. Confirm the current year’s rates on dgft.gov.in.
dgft.gov.in ↗What you get
Niryat Protsahan (finance): 2.75% interest subvention on pre- and post-shipment rupee export credit for products on a positive list, capped at ₹50 lakh per IEC for FY 2025–26; collateral guarantee through CGTMSE up to 85% for micro and small and 65% for medium exporters; 2.75% subvention on export factoring (cap ₹50 lakh per MSME a year); e-commerce export credit. Niryat Disha (non-finance): TRACE refunds 60% (75% on the priority list) of testing and certification costs up to ₹25 lakh per IEC a year; LIFT refunds up to 30% of freight for low-export districts up to ₹20 lakh per IEC a year; Market Access Support for fairs and buyer-seller meets; FLOW for overseas warehousing; INSIGHT for trade intelligence and district facilitation.
Who can use it
Mainly MSME exporters, first-time exporters and labour-intensive sectors. Each intervention has its own rules and a positive list of products.
How to claim it
- For interest subvention, file an Intent-to-Claim on dgft.gov.in to get a Unique Identification Number; your bank then files the claim.
- For TRACE, LIFT and other Niryat Disha refunds, apply on the DGFT EPM module with bills and proof of export.
- For trade fairs and delegations, watch the event calendar and apply on trade.gov.in.
Watch out for
- Interest subvention covers only HS lines on the positive list, and rates are reviewed every March and September.
- The older Interest Equalisation Scheme and Market Access Initiative have been folded into this mission — do not apply under the old names.
- Caps and lists can change each year; check the current guidelines on DGFT before you count on the money.
