Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exporters
Extra collateral-free working capital from your bank, with a 100% government guarantee to the bank.
Current status
Approved by Cabinet 12 Nov 2025; operational from 1 Dec 2025; open till 31 Mar 2026 or until ₹20,000 crore of guarantees are issued. We found no official extension after 31 Mar 2026 — confirm current status on ncgtc.in.
ncgtc.in ↗What you get
Additional working capital of up to 20% of your existing export credit or working capital limits, without extra collateral. Total scheme size: up to ₹20,000 crore.
Who can use it
Direct and indirect exporters, MSME and non-MSME, that already have export credit or working capital limits with a member lending institution.
How to claim it
- Ask your bank, or apply through the Jan Samarth portal.
- The bank sanctions the loan and takes the guarantee from NCGTC.
Watch out for
- It is still a loan — plan how you will repay it from export receipts.
- Credit availed under CGSE reduces what you can get under ECLGS 5.0.
